Voting at the ease....

Voting to choose our leader is our birth right. But, certain bottlenecks hold us back.


We need to make a votor card for the region we belong.
If we've travelled outside our region then we need to place our vote on the voting day at the booth in the same region where registered.

I think this can be made simpler.

Most of us have a bank account, ATM card(Debit, Credit, etc) and a unique id card also sometimes connected.

There are a lot of ATM booths in our country and I guess now that everybody must have got a click....

The ATM booths must have a secure voting infrastructure which provides registering the votes.


As an example:

There is a time when all parties have been identified and a duration for polling have been notified.

I get a message that I'm eligible for voting lok sabha elections and the duration is 6 months i.e. 1st Jan to 31st July.
I went to my nearest SBI ATM and see that there is a lot of queue so I turned back to another nearest HDFC ATM to find it vacant.
I went inside and inserted my card and got various options viz. Withdraw, Statement, Voting etc.
I pressed Voting and saw the list of candidates with there corresponding code number.
I entered the code number and registered vote for the candidate.
While I did so, the camera captured picture of me for security reasons.
I went back taking my card.

Four months passed by, and I found that the candidate is not doing good.
So, I decided to change my vote to a different candidate because he's doing good.
Now, All I did is went to the ATM booth again and changed my vote.

The voting day was over and every body have made their selections of the candidate.
The last registered vote for everyone is counted.

With huge density of votes due to the participation, fair conclusion of the result will appear.

Can this solve the traffic discipline ???

In my country we see a lot of indiscipline on Roads. People enjoy this privilege to their extravagance. As we find a lot of enthusiasts performing the sordid actions on the road putting other's lives unsafe.

I feel the governance equally much responsible in motivating traffic discipline than people themselves being enough matured to follow. Therefore, as government take much care in building better traffic rules and infrastructure, people should be more diligent towards their duties.

As we see, There are only some individuals who indulge themselves in indisciplinary activities on the road viz. breaking the traffic rules, rough driving, honking and speeding in sensitive areas viz. hospitals, schools, etc.
They are not all, since, most of us want to care for others on the road but being helpless with their principles getting subdued therefore they tend to enact the same way as those few indisciplined individuals. Its an induced action on the road which could be motivated by "Its OK. there's no vigilance. I'm not just the only one".

To, the above note, I wish to share an idea which might be useful in a better traffic situation.

There can be a way by each ones correcting each other, thereby bringing in some discipline. What I mean is that there must be a camera attached to each and every vehicle in its maximum view to gather every details  from the front. This device can keep the recorded event for at-least a day. An easy interface for the drivers to report those indisciplinary activity to the intended server.

As an example, Lets say that a person breaks the signal and speeds up. The vehicles behind watch him since the camera is always rolling in their vehicles and surely some of them wouldn't be happy in this unruly behavior therefore they report it immediately or maybe later. Now, since a number of clips has been pushed to the server with similar timeframe and from same location, Traffic cops can make it easily to look into the matter and penalize the offender accordingly.

This utility can not only keep a check on the traffic decorum but can also eye on other crimes on the road viz. hit and run, kidnapping, road rages, accidents etc.

What I felt was missing during the Pujas...

I live in India. we have a lot of glorified activities. Pujas is one of them. It is a ritual ceremonies by Hindus for celebrating auspicious occasions also, the birthdays of our Gods.
I have seen Pujas since my childhood, of which I instinctively like is the exclusive food, new purchases, holidays, gathering, decorations, etc... basically delight for all our senses.

We have Pujas being held by a lot of societies, clubs, mandals which are at a localized areas. This ecstasy of enjoyment is unknown and unparallel. Pujas held in the teeming cities have become equally inaccessible therefore making it locally accommodated.

Puja pandals are established in nooks and crannies of the City which makes it less likely to be reached. Since, due to scarcity of land, majority of the road is taken for the exhibit. The overwhelming traffic on the constant sized roads becomes unmanageable. The peace is lost for the residents nearby primarily due to the dense traffic, honking, Puja melody all in a cocktail.

Therefore, I have a little idea about the Pujas being made a little better and optimized.

If all the bigger Pujas are combinedly celebrated in a common place viz. large ground across the city or stadiums which host fairs then we can have a much managed approach. There will be no hurdle to the traffic during the auspicious period. Each of us will be able to reach the known locations where the Pujas are placed together making an enthralling atmosphere with a lot of lights, decorations and exhibits in vivid colors. A safe and clean arrangement of parking for the people who visit will enliven the atmosphere. Women and kids will have a lot of activities from the funfair around. Men can still find something for them ;) .

I wish the Pujas become more intuitive, intelligent and adapt new methods of environment friendly techniques as we celebrate with more love, respect, devotion, energy, pompousness, discipline etc. that makes us feel Humans.
